Site Coordinator (Northeastern University)
Kate Deveney is the Site Coordinator at Northeastern University, where she also served as a full-time corps member in 1998-1999.
Deveney is a 1998 graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA where she received a bachelor of arts degree in anthropology with a minor in education. While attending Temple, Deveney was a four-year member of the Division-1 varsity women's rowing squad. She was elected co-captain by her teammates for her senior year.
Prior to serving as site coordinator, Deveney was the Community Outreach and Adventure Director at the Waltham YMCA for 2years. During this time, she worked with youth and families of all ages.
Her background includes a wide variety of youth and human service work experience, including peer advising, coaching, and teaching.
Kate lives in Somerville, MA and likes to be outside whenever possible. Among other things, she enjoys mountain biking, climbing, hiking, and surfing.
