Sport in Society Launches New Logo
(7-2-07) Boston, Mass. In early June, the Center for the Study of Sport in Society launched its new logo. The logo was chosen to visually express Sport in Society as the worlds leading organization that uses the power of sport to create a better world.
The new logo sends a bold message that Sport in Society is a transformed and independent organization, said Director Peter Roby.
The simple design, which is a circle embedded with two smaller, split, and inverted circles, is recognizable, unique, and conveys a sense of sport. The logo stands for Sport in Societys commitment to address violence, discrimination, physical activity, and health.
The new identity aligns Sport in Societys image with the reality of its far-reaching influence and proven record on issues of social justice. It is an essential part of the organizations effort to help donors choose Sport in Society over other non-profits.
In addition to a new logo, Sport in Society will now unify all its programs and initiatives under a single brand. The goal is to strengthen the identification of each program and initiative under the umbrella organization of Sport in Society.
