BOSTON, MA – Further embracing the compelling and influential power of sport, Northeastern University's Center for the Study of Sport in Society has formed a partenrship with a new teammate, Cambridge artist Susan Miller-Havens.

Miller-Havens, who shares the Center's beliefs that sports can, and does, play a power role in positively affecting society, has chosen to display her thought-provoking art at Sport in Society's office located at Northeastern University in Boston.

Miller-Havens' work has been exhibited across the USA. Her paintings are owned by both public and private collectors most notably Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, NYC; Patrick J. Riley, Miami; Harvard University; and The National Portrait Gallery Smithsonian Institution, Washington.

Dick Johnson, Curator of The Sports Museum of New England, has said of Miller-Havens' work, "She captures the heroic qualities in all her portraits and figure studies with a palette that includes the most subtle of color combinations. Her paintings are as much about the magic of color as the essence of heroism in her subjects."
