Julia
Mastronardi is the Site Coordinator for Northeastern University.
Julia served through the University of Kentucky as a full-time
AIS corps member in 2002-2003.
Mastronardi
is a 2000 graduate of Regis College in Weston, Mass. where
she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and
a minor in Communication. Mastronardi, a seasoned athlete
in soccer, basketball, and tennis went on to play tennis
at Regis College. She was elected captain her senior year
and earned the MVP award.
After
graduation from Regis, Mastronardi worked as an Executive
Consultant to the State Treasurer of Connecticut for some
time until she moved back to Boston. She was hired as the
administrator for a research lab at Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center. She went on to join AmeriCorps thereafter.
While in Kentucky, Mastronardi tutored and mentored at a
local urban high school, middle school, the North Lexington
Family YMCA, as well as The Boys & Girls Club of the
Bluegrass. She then became a full-time Program Supervisor
for the YMCA and introduced multiple programs to the urban
area. Those programs included soccer, t-ball, gymnastics,
and cheerleading leagues/programs for the urban youths.
Julia now lives in Somerville, Mass., where she coaches
a U7 soccer team. She is ecstatic to be back in the area
nearer to her family and friends.
Julia
is happy doing activities that are constructive, being outdoors
and active. She also loves to cook.
