Allyce
Najimy is the senior associate director of Northeastern
University's Center for the Study
of Sport in Society.
Najimy
is responsible for guiding Sport in Society along with the
leadership of Director/Chief Operating Officer, Peter
P. Roby . Najimy's
background offers a broad knowledge and experience in non-profit
development, business management, communications and relationship
building between non-profit, public, private and corporate
sectors.
Her
many skills include recruiting, diversity training, public
speaking, event planning, resource development, communications,
budgeting, fundraising, teaching, curriculum development,
and facilitation.

National Consortium
for Academics and Sports (NCAS) - Northeast Regional Office

Previous Experience
From
1990-2000, Allyce served as Director of the renowned City
Year program. City Year is a national youth service organization,
for 17-24 year olds, from diverse backgrounds, in 15 cities
nationwide that engages 1,200 young people in 1.5 million
hours of community service in exchange for college scholarships,
each year.

She
is on the board of Share Our Strength's Operation Frontline
and volunteers with St. Bridgit's Youth and Taste of The
Nation.
Education
She
earned her Masters of Education from the University of Massachusetts,
Boston, in 1990, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
from Assumption College in 1986. She is also a Certified
Teacher for K-12 Education.
Personal
Najimy
is a well respected speed and distance runner and recently
competed in the Boston Marathon.
