Julie
Vanier joined Sport in Society in December 2002. She is
the Project Coordinator for the Urban Youth Sports Health
Connection at the Bowdoin Street Health Center in Dorchester,
MA.

Education
Vanier
graduated with a B.A in Kinesiology from the University
of Western Ontario (1999) and an M.A from McGill University
(2002) in Sport Psychology. The focus of her research was
aggression in elite women's ice hockey, from both the athlete
and coach's prespective. She has co-written 2 articles on
this topic and has presented her research at local and international
conferences.
Personal
Vanier
participated in and officiated competitive volleyball, and
indoor/outdoor soccer while attending college. Her coaching
experience includes sailing, soccer, volleyball and gymnastics.
She enjoys skiing, running or playing soccer in her free
time.
