Center for University Life

Branding Guidelines

Branding is an important commodity for ourselves, programs and the Center. It tells the audience who we are, what do we stand for, and what do we inspire to be. Do we inspire to be professional experts? Do we want to make social change? To keeps the message consistent, the brand needs to be consistent so the audience does not get confused or distracted.

Q: Why the center brand over the programs' brand?

A: 1. To increase awareness of the Center
 2. To unify under 1 team instead of separate programs
 3. To allow the most flexibility and longevity

All materials will use black, red, white, gray as predominant colors. Accent colors of yellow and orange may be used. All photos should be close-up, or action shots. Fonts acceptable are Trade Gothic, Bembo, Futura and Scala. If you do not have these fonts, please download them at www.sportinsociety.org/branding.html. There you will find the Pantone colors, fonts and logos for company use. In general Sport in Society's logo should supercede all other brands and logos of a piece. This is so people start to recognize the Center and what we do as a full range of solutions and programs. In fundraising materials, Sport in Society will place emphasis on the Sport in Society brand and give preferential placement to any major funders. Major funders are determined by the Program's Director or Fundraising Director. This privilege is "paid for" by their donation and serves a gesture of thanks. This should not replace maintaining a favorable relationship with your funders. Example include regular email, phone calls, newsletters or an invitation to events.
