Kevin Szott
Hoboken, NJ
Judo

Kevin Szott is a versatile and capable athlete who holds thirty-one national titles in wrestling, power lifting, shot put, discus, javelin and judo for the US. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA), and is only the second athlete to ever medal in four different sports at the Paralympics.

His most recent focus has been judo, where he became the first visually impaired athlete to be nationally ranked by U.S. Judo. During the Sydney Paralympic Games, he became the second American ever to win a judo gold medal in either Olympic or Paralympic competition.
Kevin will take one more shot at Paralympic Gold when he defends his 2000 Paralympic gold medal in Judo at the 2004 Paralympic games in Athens. Following that, Kevin plans on retiring from athletic competition and concentrate on his expanding new family.
