Healthy Development

Healthy development is a holistic approach to developing the individual and his or her place in the community.

Healthy development encompasses the development of the mind and body through physical activity; inculcates youth and adults with their responsibilities as citizens; and empowers people to be direct participants in promoting positive social change.

Healthy development refers not only to Sport in Society goals affecting society at large, but it also reflects how we relate to each other within our organization.

Sport in Society fosters respectful communication, which is also extensively modeled in our outreach programs, especially when emphasizing conflict resolution and promoting leadership.
