Kevin Fitzgerald
Special Assistant to the Director

Kevin Fitzgerald previously served as the Director of the Urban Youth Sports program. He also serves as a Community Outreach Coordinator for Sport in Society.

Fitzgerald is a Massachusetts State Representative (D-Boston). He also serves on a number of boards and organizations including the Board of Overseers for Boston Children's Hospital and Wentworth Institute. He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees of Boston Health and Hospitals.

Fitzgerald joined Sport in Society as an outreach specialist and soon became invaluable in the development of community based programs. He was a founding member of the leadership team for the Boston Youth Sports Congress. He has specialized in helping the community remove facility and transportation barriers that restrict youth sports in the city.

He has been a youth sports coach for many years and is also the majority whip of the MA House of Representatives. He is married with four children, ages 10-19, and is a life-long resident of Boston.
