Antwaine
Smith is a training specialist for Project
TEAMWORK. Smith is a former football student-athlete
from Northeastern University. A four-year varsity letterman,
Smith captained the team his senior year from his position
of Defensive Back while also serving as a football representative
for National STUDENT-Athlete Day.
Previous Experience
He
has also served as a Special Events Coordinator and afterschool
teacher at the Bird Street Community Center in Baltimore,
where he gained experience in childcare and education. He
has also served a substitute teacher inthe Baltimore Public
School system.
While
at NU, he volunteered with the Police Activities League
(PAL) Big Brother program as well as at the Paul Robeson
Institute.
Education
After
excelling at basketball and football in high school in Baltimore,
MD, he earned a full scholarship to Northeastern where he
completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cardiopulmonary
Studies.
Personal
After
graduating from NU in 1997, he played professional football
in the Canadian Football League as a member of the Toronto
Argonauts.
