St. Petersburg, Fla. St. Petersburg is Florida’s Sunshine City and the fourth-largest city in Florida. St. Petersburg sits on 234 miles of shoreline along Tampa Bay, Boca Ciega Bay, the Gulf of Mexico and intracoastal waterways.

St. Petersburg holds their record of an average of 361 days of sunshine per year, and the sunshine has even earned them a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for 768 consecutive days of sunshine in 1967.

Its outstanding quality of life ranks the city as the fourth most livable city in the United States. The Pinellas County School System is the 7th largest district in Florida and 22nd largest in the nation.

Eckerd College is one the five universities located in St. Petersburg. It is a private college of liberal arts and science. In 2003, Eckerd became on the youngest colleges to receive a Phi Beta Kappa chapter. Eckerd is listed as one of only forty colleges that is considered to be a college that changes lives. There are many attractions, dining options and sports events that take place both on the campus and within St. Petersburg.
