A member of Sport in Society since the spring of 1995, Ermlich
has served as the Communications Coordinator for Northeastern
University's Center for the Study of Sport in Society since
1997. As such, Ermlich directs the production of all Sport
in Society publications.
National Consortium for Academics
and Sports (NCAS)

(2002-present)
In August of 2002, Ermlich was promoted to Assistant Director
of the NCAS Northeast Regional
Office based at Northeastern University. The NCAS is a coalition
of colleges and university's which embrace the values of
Sport in Society. Ermlich assists the NCAS Northeast Regional
Office Director, Kevin J. Matthews.
He assists the coordination of the Degree
Completion Program and the Massachusetts
Student-Athlete Citizenship Awards. He also produces
the Northeast Regional Office Quarterly Newsletter, the
NCAS IMPACT.

Ermlich asssists with the coordination of the annual
Massachusetts Student-Athlete Citizenship
Awards.
Racial
and Gender Report Card
Report Designer
(1997, 1998, 1999-2001)
Ermlich is Report Designer of the acclaimed Racial
and Gender Report Card. The RGRC, which analyses the
hiring practices of the major sports organizations based
on race and gender, receives international media exposure.

(2002-present)
Ermlich is chair of the seven-member Website Committee challenged
with overseeing the ongoing evolution of the website.

Northeastern University Asian American Presidential Advisory
Council on Diversity
(2002-present)
Ermlich also represents Sport in Society as a member of
the NU
Asian American Advisory Council that reports to the
Northeastern University President of the University and
the Dean of Affirmative Action on all issues relation to
the Asian American community on campus.

Excellence in Sports Journalism Committee
(2003-present)
Ermlich coordinates the Excellence in Sports Journalism
Committee, inconjunction with the NU School of Journalism.
The awards are presented at the "True
Heroes of Sport" Sport in Society Awards Banquet
and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
Education
Ermlich
has a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Journalism with a
concentration in Print Media from Northeastern University
(1997).
Certified
Curriculum Facilitator for the Mentors in Violence Prevention
(MVP) Program.
Personal
A
freelance writer and poet, Ermlich's work has also been
published in The Boston Phoenix and Spectrum
literary magazines.
He
has performed with the Glimmerglass Opera Company on productions
of productions of "Carmen" (1984) and "The
Mighty Casey" (1986).
A
native of Cooperstown, NY, Ermlich currently resides in
Cambridge, MA, with his wife, Hiroko Onikura Ermlich.
