MVP Accomplishments

Facilitated sessions with thousands of high school and college students and administrators at dozens of Massachusetts schools including:

  • Dorchester
  • John D. O'Bryant
  • Jeremiah Burke
  • Attleboro
  • Lynn Technical
  • Lowell
  • Fitchburg
  • Brookline High Schools
  • Harvard University
  • MIT
  • Boston College
  • Northeastern University
  • Mass achusetts College of Liberal Arts

Developed original teaching materials, including MVP Playbooks, for high school and college students, along with accompanying trainer's guides.

Conducted sessions with thousands of student- athletes and administrators at dozens of colleges nationwide including:

  • University of Nebraska
  • University of Kentucky
  • Kansas State University
  • Florida State University
  • University of Notre Dame

Taught professional trainers to implement the MVP model at participating institutions.

Presented to and collaborated with Greek leadership, residence hall staff, and health educators to develop strategies for working within those systems.

Presented to many professional organizations, including the American Bar Association national convention, the U.S. Department of Justice, the NCAA, and the N4A.

The NCAA has adapted material from the MVP Playbooks for use in their Life Skills curriculum.

In addition, the MVP Program has been discussed in numerous magazines and newspapers. MVP staff members have been featured on local and national radio and television news broadcasts and talk shows.

MVP Trains Athletes in Service to America Corps members
Since 1995, MVP has served as a critical training and outreach component of Athletes in Service to America, an AmeriCorps-sponsored program also run by Northeastern University's Center for the Study of Sport in Society.
